Akata Energy is an independent and nimble company with a proven track record of operating Marginal Fields and relatively
small-sized proved and undeveloped oil and gas assets.
All the fields currently under our ownership are located on OML 95 and were drilled and previously operated by Chevron JV before they were classified as marginal fields respectively. This allows for strategic cluster development opportunities within the entire field and also allows other Marginal field operators to utilise our facilities and produce crude oil in our partnerships. We envisage the possibility of producing an aggregate of 40,000 – 50,000 barrels of crude oil daily from this clustered development strategy on OML 95. We also intend to produce up to 20,000 barrels of crude oil daily from our envisaged acquisition of shallow water block EG23 in Equatorial Guinea.
