Shango Field is in the north-western part of OML 95, operated by Chevron Nigeria Limited. Offshore, water depth of 85ft. The discovered well was drilled in 1991 as the Shango-01 well, which encountered 14 hydrocarbon-bearing sands. Only 1 well has been drilled to date. Total depth 10,642Ft-KB. DST was carried out in twodepth intervals. However, only one zone had oil flowing to the surface. DST results confirmed the presence of oil in the K sand (8,740 -8,530ft interval) with a flow rate of 1325 bopd. The second test in 7,990-8,110Ft levels had no flow to the
surface. Independent evaluation of asset puts STOOIIP at 89.61mmbo and GIIP at 26.02bcf Reserves of 17.92mmbo, API 37.5% and gas of 22.12bcf The geology of the field straddles the Benin and Niger Delta basins.
